Community Connections

At ABC Childcare Services, being a part of the local community isn’t just something we talk about, it is something we live every day. We believe that young children learn best through real world experiences and meaningful connections, and what better way to support that than by getting involved in the vibrant community around us.

You’ll often see us out and about in Crewe, exploring local parks, visiting nearby shops, attending local events, or simply enjoying walks together to observe the world around us. These outings are more than just fun, they are learning opportunities that help children understand the environment, develop social skills and build confidence.

Community partnership in action

Working with Crewe Town Council

We partner with Crewe Town Council to support their Lost Child Provision during public events. Our team help to ensure children stay safe and are reunited quickly if separated from their families. It is a vital service, and we are proud to play a trusted role in keeping families safe during busy community gatherings.

Art in the community

Our children’s creativity reaches far beyond the walls of our Nursery Preschools. Our ABC art exhibitions were shown at Crewe Library and Corbrook residential care home, showcasing the wonderful work the children have produced.

These displays brought such joy, especially to older residents, while offering our children meaningful experiences. From expressing themselves through art to understanding the importance of sharing and connecting with others.

This is so much more than an art display. It is a celebration of creativity, intergenerational connection and endless learning opportunities.

Teddy Bear Picnic at Crewe Market Hall

On the last Friday of every month, we host our much loved Teddy Bear Picnic at Crewe Market Hall. Families from across the community come together to enjoy stories, songs and cuddles with their favourite teddies in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

It is a free fun filled event that encourages friendship, confidence, and community spirit, giving little ones the chance to play, sing and learn together.

The Corner Clean Up: Building a brighter community together

We believe that caring for our children means caring for the community they grow up in. That’s why we joined forces with local businesses, volunteers, and community leaders,  including our MP Connor Naismith and Sally Graham, Crewe Mayor , to launch The Corner Clean Up.

Together, we rolled up our sleeves to brighten our High Street, refresh our shared spaces, and create a welcoming, safe, and beautiful street for everyone to enjoy. The event was a huge success, and it showed what’s possible when our community comes together with a shared purpose.

Here’s to keeping our town a wonderful place for families today and for generations to come.
