Established in 2005, ABC – Amazing Beginnings 4 Children is an Ofsted-registered Nursery, Preschool and holiday club in the heart of Crewe, offering childcare for children aged 18 months to 4 years during term time and from 18 months to 11 years in the school holidays.
Our teacher-led preschool combines play, early education and real-life experiences, helping children build confidence, independence and the skills they need for their next step.
Crewe is our classroom
Our Urban Education Programme, led by qualified teachers, takes learning beyond the nursery door. Children explore the local community through our Urban Forest School, outdoor learning and real-life experiences.
Being in the heart of Crewe gives children a different kind of learning environment, the world around them becomes part of their education.

For children already at ABC The House and Play Space, High Street can be a natural next step as they approach preschool.
There is reassurance in moving on within the same ABC family. Children are already familiar with ABC, our approach and the team, while High Street brings new experiences, greater independence and our teacher-led Urban Education Programme.
But you don’t have to come from The House to join us.
High Street welcomes families from across Crewe and the surrounding areas. Whether your child is already part of ABC or you’re discovering us for the first time, we’d love to show you what our preschool has to offer.

More than a preschool
At High Street, children have space to follow their interests, try new things and become increasingly independent.
Our team gets to know each child and uses what they see, hear and discover to shape what happens next. One day might involve creating, building or baking; another might take us outside to explore, walk, move or investigate what is happening around us.

Government funding
At ABC Amazing Beginnings 4 Children, we’re committed to making high quality preschool education accessible for local families. We offer a range of government-funded childcare options and can help you understand which support your family may be entitled to.
Depending on your child’s age and your family’s circumstances, you may be eligible for:
- 30 hours of funded childcare for eligible working families with children from the term after they turn 9 months old until they start school.
- 15 hours of funded childcare for all children from the term after their 3rd birthday, regardless of family circumstances.
- 15 hours of funded childcare for eligible 2-year-olds.
- Tax-Free Childcare, helping eligible working families save on childcare costs.
- Universal Credit Childcare, which may allow eligible families to reclaim up to 85% of childcare costs.
Children can attend additional sessions beyond their funded entitlement, giving families the flexibility to choose a childcare pattern that suits their needs.
We welcome new children throughout the year whenever places are available, with our main intake periods in January, Easter and September.

Out of School Club
We offer fantastic, Ofsted registered, high quality holiday club care for children aged 4 upwards. Our service is friendly, safe and flexible to fit in with your family’s needs.
Our fun-filled Holiday Club is open to all children in the local area from all different schools. We ensure your child’s time with us is fun, exciting and memorable. Different themes are planned for each day along with free-play both indoors and outdoors. A light tea is provided for children that book a full day session. This includes food such as pasta, noodles, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, fruit, along with milk or water to drink.
We ask the children for ideas of what they would enjoy and plan our activities accordingly.
Activities include:
- Creative activities
- Sports Clubs
- Cooking and baking
- Crafting fun
- Science experiments
- Nature walks to explore the local area
- Visits to local parks
Day trips are also planned during the holidays. We like to visit local parks, museums and even take the train to the seaside!
Children can attend either for the full day or half day sessions are also available. We offer a 10% sibling discount.
