At our Pre-School Nursery, a friendly team provides exceptional opportunities for your child to learn and play. We have unique educational programmes designed by an Early Years Professional and our sessions are teacher led. We offer real life experiences such as trips the park, our allotment, baking, being part of a community and playing with real objects such as pasta, pots and pans. Your child can enjoy yoga sessions, playing with new friends, nature walks and making dens on the large field.
We believe, that as parents and carers, you have been the most important educator to your child and we aim to continue this at our nursery by working closely with you, allowing times for updates and chats and sharing information such as your child's learning journey.
There is a strong emphasis on play balanced with learning opportunities in a homely and welcoming environment. We incorporate many different areas for the children to feel happy, safe, comfortable and inspired to learn, including; home corner, messy play area, book area, writing area, construction area and lots of other areas where children can develop their imagination and sense of discovery.
We have access to Government funding which means that from the first school term after your child’s 3rd birthday, they can attend for 15 hours a week FREE. Some free places are available for 2 year olds. Please call for more information. Extra sessions for 2, 3 and 4 year olds can also be booked outside of your free entitlement. We usually have three intakes a year for 2, 3 and 4 year olds – i.e. January, Easter and September. If we have spaces available, your child can join earlier.
Once your child moves on to school, we provide wraparound care with our Breakfast, After-School and Holiday Club. This Club is not just for working parents, it is for all parents. Our club offers excellent activities to keep your children entertained. Perhaps you have appointment to attend, Christmas/Birthday shopping to do or would like your children to meet new friends during the school holidays. Whatever the reason, your child will be made to feel welcome and will look forward to coming to our clubs.
They are bright and colourful and the children have made them 'their own'. Our Out of School Clubs have a homely feel where children can relax and play with their friends. Any themes the children will be covering at school can be continued in the OoSC with children or parent/carer suggestions for activities welcomed. The OoSC is a safe place for your child to attend and holds strict vetting procedures for suitable staff and all our staff are trained in First Aid. A strong relationship with the school staff is already in place and regular meetings instil a good working ethos for extended services. Please remember, the Out of School Club is open to all children from every school, and a collection service can be provided.
